I ordered two abayas and, unfortunately, I’m quite disappointed with the overall experience.
Firstly, the straight-fit abaya is made from “air tech silk,” which is not at all suitable for the Indian climate. The fabric feels impractical and uncomfortable for regular wear, especially in warmer conditions, making it an unfavorable choice for an abaya.
Secondly, the Hajj abaya itself is well-designed and the fabric is reasonably satisfactory. However, a major issue with both products is the hijab included. In both cases, the hijab is made from the same fabric as the abaya, which significantly affects usability. The straight-fit abaya’s hijab is extremely slippery and difficult to manage, while the Hajj abaya’s hijab is too stiff to style properly for a neat and comfortable wrap.
While the stitching and overall appearance of both abayas are quite good, the fabric choices and impractical hijabs are major drawbacks. These issues outweigh the positives, and as a result, I would not consider making another purchase.
